What Photo Mail is

Photo Mail is a tool that lets a signed-in user pick photos, write a caption under each one, and send the result as an email or text message. Each customer's team has its own private workspace; this policy covers all of them.

What we collect

  • Your name and email address, from your team's sign-in provider.
  • The photos and captions you add to a Photo Mail, and the recipients you send it to.
  • If you connect Gmail: your Google account email address and an OAuth token that lets Photo Mail send messages through it (see below).
  • If you send as a text: the phone numbers you send to, to deliver the MMS.

Your Google (Gmail) data

Photo Mail requests exactly one Gmail permission — gmail.send — which only lets it compose and send a message on your behalf. It cannot, and does not, read your inbox, your contacts, or any other Gmail data. The OAuth token that grants this is encrypted at rest and used only at the moment you press Send on a message you wrote. It is never shared with, or sold to, any third party, and never used for advertising.

Photo Mail's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. You can revoke this access at any time from your Photo Mail profile (“Disconnect Gmail”) or directly from your Google Account permissionspage.

How we use what we collect

Only to run the product: rendering and sending the messages you compose, showing you your own past messages, and letting your team's admin manage its own users. We don't run ads, we don't build profiles from your content, and we don't sell or share your data with anyone outside the team you're a member of.

Retention & deletion

A Photo Mail and its photos stay on your team's workspace until you delete it, which also removes the underlying photo files. Disconnecting Gmail deletes the stored OAuth token immediately. To have your account or your team's data removed entirely, contact us at the address below.
